All of the diamonds are prong, bezel, and bead set. The bracelet is very regal in nature with ornate scrolling motifs accented with small milgrain and silver shot detail. The bangle hinges at the side and closes at a secure box clasp complete with a figure-eight safety latch for added security. The tongue of the box clasp is hallmarked with an eagle's head and another worn mark, signifying French origin circa the mid 1800s. There is also a serial number on the opposite side of the clasp. This fascinating article at one point and time was convertible to a tiara, however, the bracelet has been permanently converted to its bracelet format. A tiara piece could be refashioned by a skilled jeweler, and the bracelet could be convertible again with some work. An absolutely stunning piece of French jewelry, this antique bangle is simply incredible and perfect for a serious Victorian era collector.
