A fabulous gold horseshoe pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful horseshoe pendant is made of 14kt yellow gold and has a smooth surface with a raised square nail design. Originally a pin, a fluted bail has been attached at the top left side of the horseshoe, allowing it to be hung and worn from a gold chain. The placement of the bail allows the horseshoe to hang at an angle, giving the piece an eye-catching look when worn. The top of the bail is stamped "14K" and "F." A very attractive piece, it would look lovely worn alone on a chain or worn as a charm on a bracelet. Perfect for the equestrian enthusiast, it would make a fantastic addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 1 1/4" long. The horseshoe measures 7/8" tall, slightly more than 3/4" at the widest point and 1/4" at its thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the horseshoe is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold pendant or to the bail, which is intact.
