As a sailor I spend a lot of my life looking up into the sky. I watch the colours change from vibrant bright blue in the middle of the day to a soft velvety indigo as the night falls. My favourite time is when the stars begin to twinkle.

The beads for these earrings are approximately 16mm x 16mm. They hang on handmade sterling silver ear wires for a total length of approximately 35 mm. The silver droplets are pure silver embedded into the glass. All the findings are sterling silver.

Each bead is individually made by me! There is no paint on any of my beads, just glass upon glass upon glass. Each bead is 4 - 8 layers of glass. Around layer 3 I roll the bead in fine silver leaf, then encase it in more glass. When the bead is large I mash it flat so that the silver disperses. This is what gives my beads the shimmering transparency reminiscent of the ocean in sunshine.

Please remember the jewelry looks larger than life in the pictures which is why it is important to check the size. I have tried to capture the colours as accurately as possible but many monitors vary.
